Accessibility
Many of the people we build for are reading on a phone at the end of a long day, and some are older readers themselves. We want everyone to be able to use our sites, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across sixhands.ai.
What we’ve done
- Large body text (18 pixels) and high-contrast colors.
- Large buttons and links that are easy to tap.
- Every page works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Headings, landmarks, and labels that screen readers can follow.
- Text descriptions for meaningful images. Decorative art is hidden from screen readers.
- Layouts that work at any screen size and when you zoom text to 200 percent.
- Respect for your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
Known limits
We’re a small team, and some parts may fall short. The video on dailycare.sixhands.ai doesn’t have captions yet; the survey right below it covers the same ground without the video.
Tell us what’s not working
If something is hard to use, please tell us. Email [email protected] with the page and what happened, and we’ll work to fix it. If you need information from the site in another format, ask and we’ll provide it.
